We have installed three Italian-made 5 axis machines.
Maxium work envelope size:
- X travel of 200 inches
- Y travel of 116 inches
- Z travel of 60 inches
- A axis has a total of 220 deg +110 -110
- C axis has a total of 430 deg +215 -215
Since the introduction of our 5 axis machine in January of 1998 Fain Models, Ltd. has become one of the leaders in 5 axis machining and programming. In the Fall of 1999 Fain Models, Ltd. totally rebuilding two of the 5 axis machines. Our 5 axis machines were totally rebuilt on digital technology. The machine were retrofitted with new Siemens digital drives, Heidenhain glass scales and a new Siemens 840D digital control.
